The York Devils U18 is one of only 16 teams in the entire country that is heading to the USA Ice Hockey Nationals. The York City Ice Arena held a send off for the York Devils’ players and coaches Sunday. The under 18 team is currently ranked fifth in the country in their AAA division. Coach Mike Cleveland says the team’s success has been a long culmination of practices and games since the team was selected last May.
Mike Cleveland, York Devils head coach says, “They have dedicated themselves to this common goal and now to see the goal well within reach, I know, is a feather in the cap of the team because that was their goal, they worked very hard to get there and now we are there and hopefully we are going to grab the moment.”
The Devils will head to Wayne, New Jersey April 1st for the first round of the USA Hockey Nationals. Good luck boys!
