Thanks to a tip, Ephrata Police say they were able to identify two juveniles responsible for multiple instances of graffiti in the Ephrata and Akron areas in the last month. On March 14th, Ephrata Police were tipped off about a white box truck which was parked in the Rail Trail parking lot on East Fulton Street which had just been spray painted with graffiti. Two juveniles were seen running from the area. Police spotted the juveniles within minutes of this report. They had spray paint and permanent markers in their possession. Both juveniles confessed to spray painting and markering graffiti in over a dozen locations.

The letters “SAJ” and “TREX” were attributed to these juveniles. They admitted to writing on exterior doors, bathrooms, trash cans, mailboxes, two box trucks and other public property. It is believed that most or all off this graffiti has been reported or accounted for. If you believe that you are a victim of a case of graffiti related to this case, please contact Sgt. Randolph, 717-738-9200 x234. A total value of the damage has yet to be determined.
