New information and perhaps new hope has surfaced in the disappearance of Kortne Stouffer.

“Kortne was a really, really, she was an awesome kid. I miss her a lot,” said Kortne’s father Scott Stouffer. “It’s frustrating when you have to talk to your children at night and explain to them why nothing is getting done. You have to wrap your arms around your daughter because she is crying. It’s tough. But we’re getting through it we’re a strong family.”

It has been almost two years since Kortne Stouffer mysteriously disappeared from her Palmyra home in 2012. Police have yet to find any promising leads on Kortne.

Her father is still struggling with her disappearance.”You just try to get back to your life, and at the same time try to figure out where she is at. Her birthday is coming up. It would be great to have some resolution to all of this. Kortne will be 23 on April 24th,” said Scott.

A woman has come forward claiming to know what happened to Kortne and where to find her body.

The tipster, an acquaintance of Kortne’s, told Scott Stouffer that Kortne was killed in her Palmyra home and then thrown in Memorial Lake in East Hanover Township.

A petition is circulating, urging Lebanon County District Attorney David Arnold to search the 85- acre lake. To see more on the petition click here.

Scott Stouffer met with the Lebanon County District Attorney on Monday afternoon. Stouffer said investigators also planned on Monday to interview the woman who came forward. Stouffer was notified that State Police had reached out to the district attorney letting them know resources are available if they do search the lake.

Calls to the Lebanon County District Attorney were not returned.
