World Meeting of Families Delegates

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter boarded a flight Sunday night for Rome.  The honorary co-chairs for the World of Families traveling to Rome to meet with the Pontifical Council for Family.  The two leaders will ask Pope Francis to attend a Roman Catholic gathering in Pennsylvania next year.  Philadelphia city officials say the September 2015 event could attract more than one million people from around the world.  The Vatican has not confirmed a Papal visit to the U.S., but other Popes have attended past World Family Meetings and family issues are a top priority for Pope Francis.
