A crash involving three vehicles, a tractor trailer, a car and an SUV sends six people to the hospital. It happened at about 5:09 pm in the 2900 block of Lincoln Highway East near South Soudersburg Road in East Lampeter Township.
According to witnesses a westbound Jeep SUV crossed the center-line and struck an eastbound tractor trailer rig. The force of the impact spun SUV around back into the westbound lane where it slammed into the third vehicle.
Four people in the SUV were injured with at least being pinned for a time in the vehicle. Two in the car were also injured. The truck driver had only minor injuries.
The 2900 block of the busy highway was shutdown for more than hour. The investigation into the mishap continues.
