(RUSH TWP.)-Three children were killed in a house fire in Northumberland County early Friday.  The fire broke out shortly before 1:30 a.m. gutting the home along South Smith Road in Rush Township.

The three boys identified as Daniel Dissinger, 13; Gavin Dissnger, 7; and  Arthur Dissinger, 2; all brothers, died in the fire, according to reports by WNEP.

Two other children were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, investigators said.

The children’s mother was at work at the time of the fire, WNEP reports. A sixth child was staying over at a friend’s house.

The family of six had recently moved into the farmhouse and was just beginning to settle in, according to the property owner.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause.

I am so sorry for their loss BUT children should NOT be allowed to be alone….prime example….of what happens…..a 13 year old can NOT and is NOT an adult….or could not help against an intruder either….so sorry for her loss….but such a bad bad idea….
