Bank robbery in Columbia Borough

Police in Lancaster are on the lookout for a bank robbery suspect. It happened at about 2:05 pm at the Union Community Bank branch in the 900 block of Lancaster Avenue in Columbia Borough.

The bandit walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed. The suspect left the bank with some cash. He was last seen leaving the bank parking lot in a silver/gray in color late model GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado full size pickup. The vehicle displayed a PA registration plate that was reported stolen out of Lehigh County.  The pickup headed west on Route 462.

Borough Police released bank surveillance photos of the suspect and his getaway vehicle. He is described as a medium build white male, between 30 and 50 years old, with brown hair about 5 feet 10 inches tall with short facial hair.
