Spring has finally sprung and that means baseball fever is in the air!  Metro Bank Park hosted its annual Harrisburg Senators Fanfest on Saturday.  The yearly tradition gives fans the opportunity to be the first to check out the perfectly cut grass and clean baseball diamond before the players even step foot on the field.  Fans in attendance also enjoyed an Easter egg hunt, a tour of the locker rooms, and chowed down for free on a baseball must-have, hot dogs!

One of the die hard fans who spoke to Fox43  says she has only missed one game since 1993, “I’m excited to see what our new boys can do and how they play the game. I just love baseball, I grew up with baseball, I just love it.” says Joanne Winters.

The Harrisburg Senators take on the Reading Phillies in their home opener next Thursday at 7 PM.

Play ball!
