Fugitive shooting suspect returns to Carlisle

Shooting suspect Robert Gilmore, 19, is back in Carlisle.  Gilmore was wanted in connection with a February 13 shooting on the first block of W. Pomfret Street that injured a teenage girl was arrested by U.S. Marshals late last month in New York City.

A shackled Gilmore was escorted by Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies to the Carlisle Police station at around 4 o’clock Monday afternoon.  From there he was taken to Cumberland County Prison.

Charges against Gilmore include Criminal Attempt to Commit First Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, felony Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and felony Possession of a Firearm.

The search continues for a second shooter in the case.
