Woman killed in Penn Twp. fire ID’d

A woman who was killed in a weekend house fire in Lancaster County has been identified.  Christina Shanholtz, 33, of Penn Township, died after her home along the 1100 block of Newport Road caught fire around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s office.

Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen area and appears to be accidental.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Damage is estimated at $225,000.
