UPDATE: York County Coroner identify victims in murder/suicide as 81 year old Shirley P. Westheafer. She died from a gunshot to the head. Her death is ruled a homicide. Her son 57 year old Donald James Cassel, Jr., also died of a gunshot to the head. His death is ruled a suicide.
Pennsylvania State Police remain at the scene of an apparent murder/suicide shooting at a home on Rocky Wood Lane in Warrington Township, York County. It happened at about 2:20 this afternoon.
Police say a woman inside the home called 911 to report that her husband had just shot his mother and then turned the gun on himself. The weapon used was a shotgun. The identities of the victims have not been released. The woman who called 911 was not injured.
So far police do not have a motive for the shooting.
