Nearly two years ago, the iconic Joe Paterno statue outside Beaver Stadium was removed as the NCAA prepared to levy heavy sanctions against Penn State for its role in the Jerry Sandusky child sex-abuse scandal.

A little more than three years later, there will be a new Paterno statue in State College.

The statue, a bronze Paterno seated on a bench, is scheduled for November 2015 and will be erected outside Tavern Restaurant in downtown State College.

Ah, a placebo offered by Penn State fans. Isn't that nice? NOT!!!! The mental giants on the BOT need to return the original statue to it's rightful place. Period. Joe Paterno just sitting on a bench? More mental giants in action. Why can't folks just admit that Joe didn't do anything wrong, in fact, he was more than likely the ONLY person in the whole mess who actually did what he was supposed to do in the situation. Joe, being Joe, said he wished he had done more. Well folks, hindsight is always 20/20. Seems to me that the BOT, Louis Freeh, the NAACP all decided to blame the dead guy. Funny thing about all that is, true Penn State fans, and supporters of Joe Paterno aren't buying into that load of crackers. Nough said.
