A tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 81 in Dauphin County could affect your Tuesday morning commute. Two tractor-trailers collided shortly after 3 a.m. and closed two major ramps on Interstate 81 at Exit 70 at the interchange with Interstate 83 in Lower Paxton Township.

The ramp from I-81 south to I-83 south is closed. Debris from the crash fell onto the ramp below and has closed I-83 north to I-81 south, according to a  PennDOT spokesman.

Both ramps will remain closed for the next few hours as crews work to clean up the mess. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes if possible.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Detour Information: Interstate 81 South is closed between exits 72 and 70, due to a vehicle accident. All Interstate 81 Southbound traffic must exit the Interstate at Exit 72. Red detour signs have been installed to direct you along this detour route.
