I completely agree there needs to be more control over pain medications. However what is happening is also just as criminal. Doctors are now afraid to prescribe meds to people that actually need them. As in my case my doctor stopped prescribing them. After 9 years on fentanyl patches and hydrocodone he just advised me he's no longer prescribing them. Back injuries from 2 car accidents and 2 surgeries, Threw me into withdrawal with no medical assistance. My point being, putting pressure on doctors has negative effects in some cases. Is it because their insurance premiums sky rocketed? Are they worried about opening their records? Now I have zero quality of life. Pain keeps me awake at night. 24/7 pain. Is this what the intension with this summit is?
