Harrisburg Police took a man armed with a knife into custody Sunday night, after a two-hour standoff.

Police arrived on the 300-block of Seneca Street at about 7 p.m.

It started with a domestic dispute inside the home. Family members say a man was fighting with his wife and threatened to take their baby. Then he locked himself in the bedroom with the baby- armed with the knife.

The family says police were able to get the baby out of the room to safety fairly quickly, but the man remained barricaded for about two hours. The family says the baby is fine and was not injured.

But the man cut himself on the arm and neck with a knife. Police were able to get him out the room without injury to anyone else and take him to the hospital.
