The 25th Annual Mother’s Day Make-A-Wish Convoy rolled through Lancaster County on Sunday. More than 400 tractor trailers and other trucks took part, driving around the area with a special child in the front seat. Kids with the Make-A-Wish Foundation rode shotgun and got a pretty cool view of the road.

The convoy gathered at Burle Industries, then traveled west on Route 30 to Route 222 North at the Brownstown exit. It then went north on Route 272 through Akron to Ephrata to State Street back to 222 South to Route 30 East and ended back to Burle Business Park. Areas along the route also attracted crowds of people hoping to catch a glimpse of the trucks and their precious cargo driving by.

A fair was also held at the event with live music, food, an auction, games and entertainment. All money raised at the Mother’s Day Convoy stays local and helps the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

FOX43’s Rebecca Knier was at the event and captured all the fun!
