Wildfire destroys nearly 100 homes in Texas

fireA massive wildfire in Texas, which broke out Sunday afternoon, is now 75% contained.

According to fire officials, the blaze destroyed nearly 100 homes and forced hundreds of people to evacuate.

A spotter airplane and two air tankers dropped fire retardant on the flames.

Officials say 1,500 acres have been burned and 700-800 people had to be evacuated.

There is no word on a cause.
