Jill Abramson after less than three years on the job is left go as the editor of America’s newspaper, the New York York Times. In an announcement that came as a surprise New York Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger, Jr., said that he was replacing Abramson with her number 2 in the newsroom, Dean Baquet.
Abramson was the NYT’s first female executive editor, her replacement, Baquet becomes the paper’s first black American Editor.
