COOLER POCKET:  A back door cold front has entered the state.  What is such a thing?  It’s a cold front that travels in a non-traditional west-east direction.  This one slipped in from the northeast, and it’s helping to bring our temperatures down just a bit for today.  Highs will hit the middle 70s with mostly cloudy skies.  A few showers or storms may bubble today, but most of us should remain dry.  A few strong storms will be very close by to our west.  Tonight, we’re back with some fog with lows into the 60s.

NEXT UP:  We warm toward 80° again as a warm front lifts north on Thursday.  Expect mostly cloudy skies with showers and storms arriving after dark.  Rain continues overnight as a cold front slowly pushes east.  Showers and storms are likely, with heavy downpours likely at times through Friday afternoon.

We start wet and mild Friday morning, with cooler air racing in through the day.

Expect 1-2” of rain out of this.  We’ll see temperatures drop through the day from the 60s to the 50s as a breeze picks up.  Rain ends late Friday.

Latest model estimates give us 1-2″ of rain through Friday night.

WEEKEND:  Saturday and Sunday look mainly dry.  We’re partly cloudy Saturday with highs in the upper 60s.  Sunday features more sun, but similar temperatures in the upper 60s.

NEXT WEEK: We’re slow to warm as highs hold in the upper 60s Monday with mostly sunny skies.  Tuesday features a few more clouds as we touch the low 70s.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
