Man in serious condition after Lancaster City shooting

A 35-year-old man is in serious condition after a shooting near Chestnut and Franklin Streets in Lancaster City, police said. It happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

According to police reports, the man was shot in his upper leg and was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle.

Police spent much of the morning combing the scene for evidence. Investigators are checking surveillance cameras in the area to determine if the shooting was caught on video.

No word on any suspects.
