Fort Indiantown Gap honors veterans

Thousands of people paid their respects to veterans both past and present during a Memorial Day service at Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County on Sunday.

During the ceremony at the Pennsylvania Veterans’ Memorial, people placed wreaths and flowers on the graves of service men and women who died in the line of duty.

Frank Fiola, Program chairman says, “Oh, it’s a great day. I can not remember over the 20 years any Memorial Day that we had rain, it’s like God is shining down on us, so it’s great, just great.”

Also, during the ceremony a speech was given by retired by Navy Admiral Joe Sestak and there was live music from a military band.
