Memorial Day 2014: Sunshine and warmth

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

MEMORIAL DAY:  We’re in for another warm day today.  We start in the low 50s with clear skies and patchy fog.  Sun will fill the sky, with highs climbing into the middle 80s today.  The weather will cooperate with all outdoor plans.  Tonight, we drop to near 60° as clouds roll back into the picture.

SHOWERS:  A system will bring the chance for showers and a few storms for mid-week.  Tuesday is warm with highs in the low 80s.  Wednesday, cooler air slowly slips in with lingering showers and storms.  Highs will be in the middle to upper 70s.

LATE WEEK:  Easterly flow sets up shop for Thursday which will keep us cloudy and cool us down a bit.  A few showers will dot the landscape with highs only near 70°.  By Friday, a cold front scours out the clouds.  A few storms are possible, but highs will actually rebound to the middle 70s with help from a change in winds and sunshine breaking through.

WEEKEND:  Expect sunshine and dry weather to close out May and begin June!  Highs will climb into the upper 70s on Saturday to near 80° on Sunday.  Enjoy.

Let us never forget those who were lost in service to our country to allow us to enjoy our day today, and every day.
