Fire breathers, fire twirlers, fire dancers, you name it and they probably had it at Saturday’s Firestock event at Santander Stadium in York.

The stadium, home to the York Revolution minor league baseball team, hosted the one-of-a-kind event featuring a plethora of activities for people of all ages.

Aside from the pyrotechnics those in attendance enjoyed live music, putt-putt golf, helicopter rides, mechanical bull rides, arcade games, face painting, and much much more!

Eric Menzer, President and General Manager of the Revolution said, “Right behind me is Firestock, this is a combined music, fire, fireworks, bull ride, helicopter ride, haircut event, basically a fun event to use the great venue we have here to do something different for the York community.”

The fun-filled day wrapped up at 9 o’clock with a huge fireworks finale put on my Pyrotecnico, a fireworks company based out of Pittsburgh.

The fireworks were up against a fiery sunset, so they didn't stand much of a chance, ended up mostly as a flash and puff of smoke that backlit by the sun looked like a line of purple jellyfish being born across the evening sky. Wish I'd have known though, sounded like a fun event :)
