In November of 2011, a couple looking for artifacts during a drawdown of the Susquehanna River found a gun near Long Level. The couple turned the gun over to Lower Windsor Township Police. As it turns out, that weapon, a .22 Smith & Wesson revolver, was linked to a 2006 homicide in Bristol Township, Bucks County. Investigators from Bucks County are now trying to find that couple, whom they say should be applauded for acting safely and thoughtfully in turning the gun over to police.

The couple found the gun near Kline’s Run Park at the Lake Clarke Marina, south of Wrightsville. Investigators request anyone with information about the gun or the people that found it contact Bristol Township Police Detective Timothy Fuhrmann at 267-812-3049 or by email at Bucks DA@co.bucks.pa.us.
