Police arrest two Columbia residents on drug charges

Police in Columbia find numerous amounts of drugs during a search of an apartment on Thursday.

According to police cocaine and prescription drugs including: Clonazepam, Alprazolam, Morphine Sulphate, and Lorazepam were found along with numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia including a scale, smoking devices, and packaging material.

Police say Daniel Rivera, 54, of Columbia has been charged with possession with intent to deliver morphine sulphate and Lorazepam, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Angelica Rivera, 55, had been charged with possession with intent to deliver Clonazepam and Alprazolam, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects are in Lancaster County prison, both on a default of $50,000 cash bail.
