Monday afternoon is muggy and a bit warm with the chance for some afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

After a beautiful weekend, scattered showers and thunderstorms move across the region through the evening. Some storms could bring some gusty winds. After midnight, the showers and thunderstorms begin to slowly fade. By daybreak, most of the area is dry, with a spotty shower or two around. It’s a mild and muggy night, with lows in the lower to middle 60s.

Shower move out early Monday.

Monday stays humid and warm after a hazy start with a shower or two possible. By the afternoon, there is still a chance for some thunderstorms. Overnight Monday, we get a short break from the wet weather. The chance for a few thunderstorms continues Tuesday and Wednesday as an unsettled pattern sets up over the area. Some sunshine will peak through at times. No day looks like a washout through Wednesday. High temperatures are near 80 degrees Monday, and lower 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The wettest portion of the week will be the end. More widespread showers and thunderstorms enter the picture on Thursday as another storm system heads this way. More showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday before the system exits the region. By Saturday and Sunday, sunshine and less humidity return to the area. Highs are in the lower 80s through this timeframe.

Have a great week!
