Police released this composite sketch of a suspected bank robber in Frackville. The National Penn Bank in the Schuylkill Mall was robbed at 3:10pm on June 5th. The suspect made gestures like he was carrying a concealed gun when he announced he was robbing the bank. He made off with some cash in a car he had stolen in Frackville just prior to the robbery. Police recovered the vehicle a short time later.

Police believe the suspect also tried to rob the Wells Fargo Bank branch on Altamont Boulevard in West Mahanoy Township, but could not get into the building. The suspect is described as a white male, estimated to be in his 20’s or 30’s, approximately 6’ tall, of a medium build, and wearing a bandana and a hood to further conceal his appearance.
