Local folks fly high over York County

In York County, many people took to the skies over Father’s Day Weekend.
Aviation Days, a weekend-long event was held at the York Airport in Jackson Township. It gives folks the chance to see what it’s like to fly in an airplane or helicopter.
The event, hosted by York Flight Training, included plane and chopper rides from about a dozen commercial pilots. Many of them volunteered to take part in the event.
“It’s kind of like you’re just floating around, it’s fun,” says Michael McDonald, who attended the event.
“It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid to fly in one, and I finally got to,” says Leonard Iacono, who enjoyed the event.
His son, Maxwell Iacono says, “It was amazing, the view was great, you got to see tons of things.”
This year’s event featured four Cessna planes that are housed at the York Airport, as well as T6 Texans.
