It’s a favorite way to celebrate the summer for many people in our area…the 86th edition of “Jubilee Day” took over the street of downtown Mechanicsburg on Thursday.

From Main Street to Walnut Street, the fair,  –said to be the largest and longest-running one-day street fair on the east coast– features more than 325 vendors offering just about everything from food and games–to a petting zoo.

Folks didn’t let the rainy weather ruin the fun.

“Even though it’s raining people are really enjoying themselves. It’s just a really fun day… a lot of fried food so if you’re on a diet, there’s limited options, but it’s great…it’s fun”

The street fair attracts up to 70 thousand people and is hosted annually by the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce.

This year features a mechanical bull that guests can ride–or attempt to ride.

Free  parking and shuttle services is also available to those who attend the event which ends Thursday at 9 p.m.
