Police in York County are warning the public and business owners of fake $10 bills being used at local stores. The most recent case happened on Wednesday at a convenience store located along the 200 block of Arsenal Road in Manchester Township.
According to police reports, a man tried to pay for gasoline using three fake $10 bills around 2:25 p.m. The man pumped gas and left before employees became suspicious about the counterfeit cash.
The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, tall and slender. He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt and shorts.
Police would like to remind local businesses to carefully inspect any bills and report them immediately if found to be counterfeit.
