A man is dead after being shot early Saturday in Lancaster County. The shooting happened along the 800 block New Holland Avenue near Fountain Avenue in Manheim Township around 3:22 a.m.
Xavier E. Garriga, 25, was taken to a local hospital for treatment and later died. Police believe the shot was fired from the street, possibly from a passing vehicle.
This is the second shooting investigation for Manheim Township police in less than a week. Jonathan D. Santiago, 26, was gunned down on June 15 as he walking with a group of people in the area of South West End Avenue and Fourth Street in Lancaster Township. Santiago was taken to the hospital–where he later died.
So far, no arrests have been made either case.
