Prison inmates paying big bucks for gadgets

A recent study shows United States inmates are buying more gadgets from prison that include MP3 players, flat screen televisions and even electronic typewriters.

There are more than two million inmates incarcerated in America and they are spending close to 750 million dollars every year on gizmos.

Some prisons are now allowing inmates to connect with tablets with Ohio becoming the latest state to allow inmates to purchase and use mini-tablet computers .

While some people may disagree with giving inmates access to this technology, other people feel it helps incarcerated convicts better themselves.
