Lower Allen Township Police announced Wednesday that crime data for the Township is being posted to Crimemapping.com.

The data from 14 different Uniform Crime Reporting categories will be posted to enable residents to view crime in the Township. Additionally, residents and people working in the Township can sign up for alerts for incidents within a selected radius of their location.

Residents can also view the data by visiting the crime mapping website or they can download an app for
their iPhones or iPads.

Residents who would like to view our crime data can go to the crimemapping.com website and search for Lower Allen Twp. Police, PA or enter their address to see the data.

Once on the Lower Allen page, there will be an orange box in the upper right hand corner “Receive Crime Alerts.” Clicking on this button will take them to a sign up page where they can be notified of crime in their area with a radius from 500 feet to 2 miles.

We are hoping that this technology allows our residents to be more aware of what is going on in their neighborhoods and consequently more alert to anything unusual. We need the public’s assistance to prevent and solve crimes, so a more informed public will help us accomplish this.
