Police seek to identify cell phone thief

Police in Lancaster County seek help from the public in identifying a suspect in the theft of a cell phone. The victim reported to East Lampeter Township Police that the cell phone was taken from the counter at the Sunoco Akam Market along the 1600 block of Lincoln High East. The incident happened just before 6 pm Tuesday evening. The victim had laid the phone down for a moment before going to the freezer section of the store.

Investigators released a surveillance photo of the suspect, a black male, wearing a black t-shirt, large necklace and white shorts, picking up the phone. Anyone that can help identity the suspect is asked to contact East Lampeter Township Police at (717) 291-4676.
