The family of Timothy Davison is still searching for answers, six months after he was shot to death on the median of I-81. His killer remains at large.

“He’s left such a hole in our lives,” says Theresa Allocca, Davison’s mother.

Davison was on his way home to Maine at about 2 a.m. on Saturday, January 4th. He crossed the Maryland-PA line into Franklin County. But he was being chased by a dark blue Ford Ranger pickup truck. He was on the phone with 911 but his first call was dropped.

The suspect rammed onto the median of I-81. Then that person took an exit, circled back to Davison, and shot into his car, killing him.

Police have asked the public for any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Surveillance video shows other cars passing through the area at the time.

The PA Crime Stoppers reward is now up to $10,000; Davison’s family is also offering a $12,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Police have not released any possible motives, but the family says it may have been a gang initiation or robbery attempt.

“If someone is watching this and $22,000 isn’t enough, you need safety and you need a witness protection plan, they should really contact me because I have got so many people and a huge community,” says Allocca. “And we would help that person.”

The shooter continued southbound down I-81 after the killing.
