At least 380 jobs are coming to Lebanon County.

Governor Tom Corbett was in Bethel Township today where he joined state and local officials for a groundbreaking ceremony for Bell & Evans’ new processing and packing plant in Fredericksburg.

The new facility will process chicken.

“I really appreciate that you’re going to be expanding your workforce here providing new jobs to Pennsylvanians to help families sustain jobs and to have benefits you described are going to be absolutely wonderful benefits, ” Corbett said.

Bell & Evans also plans on creating 1,500-2,000 jobs through the Keystone Rendering Plant the company recently bought in the area.

The company received $2.46 million from the state in the form of grants and tax breaks.

Bell & Evans is one of the leading producers of all natural and organic poultry products.
