State Police in Lancaster County bust a marijuana growing operation inside a home in Warwick Township near Lititz.  Members of the State Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at around 10:55 am on Tuesday at the home of Michael Andrew Alexander, 26, in the 1300 block of Bunny View Drive. The raid was the result of an undercover investigation that began in June. The home was placed under surveillance and several controlled purchases of marijuana from Alexander were made by agents.

A search of the home uncovered a marijuana growing operation in the home’s basement. Police seized 229 growing marijuana plants, approximately two pounds of cultivated marijuana ready for sale, $620.00 in cash, numerous collectible coins, approximately $2000.00 in electronic equipment, 11 indoor grow lights with ballasts, CO2 canisters, air filters and ventilation equipment.

Charges against Alexander include Manufacturing the Controlled Substance Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Deliver the Controlled Substance Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
