A Facebook post by  meme-maker Jay Branscomb has gone viral. His post was a reaction to Kendall Jones, a 19-year-old Texas cheerleader and hunter who posted pictures of herself with animals she had shot while on safari in Zimbabwe.

After many people reacted negatively to her pictures, Facebook took them down.

Branscomb’s post featured movie director Steven Spielberg posing with a ‘dead’ dinosaur from the set of Jurassic Park, but the caption read:

“Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.”

The photo was meant to be satire went viral and was shared more than 32,000 times, because so many people believed it was real.

“Steven Spielberg, I’m disappointed in you. I’m not watching any of your movies again ANIMAL KILLER.”

“Disgraceful. No wonder dinosaurs became extinct. Sickos like this kill every last one of them as soon as they are discovered. He should be in prison.”

“He should be killed instead. Beautiful creature innocently living millions of years ago then this monster comes along.”

“I don’t care who he is, he should not have shot that animal.”

And if that wasn’t enough, he followed up the dinosaur photo with a photo of Spielberg posing with a shark and the caption: “Folks, we need your help identifying the vicious shark-killer shown posing with his illegal prey.”

Correct me if I am wrong! If these people truly believed that the pictures were true I believe we are in big trouble! And that is that!!

So sad that folks thought the pic was real. What are folks being taught in school these days? Dinosaurs are extinct, at least that is what I was taught in school. Have they been revived, and no one bothered to tell us?
    Again, so sad!

Did anybody ever stop to think that maybe the commenters are in on the joke, and that the truly stupid people are the ones who think people think this is real?
