An outdoor vendor and craft fair was held in Lancaster County on Sunday, to benefit the Furever Home Adoption Center.
The center is a shelter for cats in East Petersburg, Lancaster County.
It’s run entirely by volunteers; money is needed to pay the mortgage and to provide medical treatment and general care for the felines.
The event was held in the parking lot of “That Pet Place, That Fish Place” in Manor Township.
With more than 70 vendors and food trucks, much of the money raised will help Forever Home help hundreds of cats.
Tina Krueger, Fundraising Coordinator for Furever Home Adoption Center says, “Our cats are not in cages, they’re what I call free roam, so they are very socialized. We encourage people to come play with the cats, get to know them, get to know their personalities and if you don’t want to adopt a cat, maybe you know someone who does.”
Right now, the center has about 50 cats up for adoption.
You can also be a foster family for the pets.
