Middletown authorities say a bird may be to blame for a power outage impacting part of the borough on Tuesday.

Customers living along Main Street, Spring Street, Mill Street and Pine Street are currently without power, according to a post on Middletown’s Facebook page.

Officials say a dead bird was found near a major circuit that serves the borough. It remains unclear if the outage was caused by the bird, or by something else.

Crews are on the scene working to make repairs.
