Motorcyclist killed in crash in West Hempfield Twp. crash identified

Authorities have identified a Spring Grove man who was killed Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in West Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.

It happened along Route 30 west near Malleable Road around 2:12 a.m.

Stephen Elicker, 29, of Spring Grove, died at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries.

According to police, Elicker and a 26-year-old man from Seven Valleys were on their motorcycles when they were struck by Hyundai sedan driven by a 31-year-old woman from Dover, Delaware.

The Hyundai rolled onto its roof and the woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.

Investigators said an oncoming SUV was unable to stop in time and struck one of the motorcycles and the woman’s car.

The unidentified motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
