Police: Suspected shoplifter nearly hits security guard with car

Police are searching for a woman who they say nearly ran over a security guard with her vehicle after shoplifting from Walmart in Silver Spring Township on Sunday.

Investigators are looking for a woman seen in surveillance footage from the store at 6520 Carlisle Pike. According to police reports, the woman narrowly missed hitting a security guard with her vehicle as she was fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a white woman, in her early 20’s, blonde hair with dark streaks and colored tips. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, jean shorts and sunglasses.

The woman left the store in a gold colored Ford Taurus with a Pennsylvania license plate that possibly started with HMK or HWK, police said.
