Rick Ellis stands at his 6-year-old daughter’s grave and turns to the camera to say, “I’m gonna tell you something. Life isn’t about getting high.”

Ellis is obviously in pain as he talks about how he lost his little girl.  He says his daughter Lindsey was killed by a drunk driver in Beaumont Mississippi. The driver was Lindsey’s own mother.

“My little girl was killed from a mother who wanted to get high; drink, party and have fun.  It didn’t work out too well.  I’m going to show you something that is the end result of your partying on Friday nights, Saturday nights, whenever.  Want to get drunk, play around, get stupid?  This is what happens…”

He then turns the camera to face their grave and says, “This is my precious little girl who had been killed in a drunk driving accident.  Her mother had been partying for two days, staying up all night, drinking whiskey, having fun.  Everything was great.  Well, it ‘aint so great now.”

Ellis says he posted the video for people struggling with drugs or alcohol.  “Fight for something. Stand for something. There are plenty of drunks in this world and you don’t need to be one.”
