An early evening shooting in York City. Police say the victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. It happened at about 8 pm near the 400 block of Juniper Street.

Witnesses say the victim was seen walking down the street asking for help. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. Investigators canvassed the neighborhood looking for evidence.  So far no suspect(s) have been identified.

The shooting happened just a block away from a shooting last weekend that claimed the life of Dashaun Davis. Police have an arrest warrant for Jeffrey Reid charging him with homicide in Davis’ shooting.

Seems like the wave of shooting violence in Harrisburg has subsided and York is now the hub for local violence.
