Lower Paxton Township Police found a car parked in the 5000 block of Jonestown Road this morning with its four-way flashers blinking. When an officer ran the vehicle’s registration, he found out it had been reported stolen from Harrisburg. In the back seat of the car, police found several GPS units, a Playstation 2, an electric guitar and a book of CD’s.

Police soon spotted three people walking in the area near the car who told police they’d run out of gas.

Tavon Beasley, 19,  of Berryhill Street, Harrisburg, and a juvenile from Harrisburg were arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. Another juvenile from Lower Paxton Township was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Beasley was taken to Dauphin County Prison when he was unable to post the $5000 bail set by Magisterial District Judge Wenner and the City juvenile was detained by Dauphin County Juvenile Probation.

The owners of the items found in the back seat of the vehicle are unknown at this time.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Lower Paxton Township Police Department at (717) 657-5656.
