THIS EVENING: There will be a chance for a shower or thunderstorm in the early part of the evening then clouds will slowly decrease. Temperatures will fall from the upper 70’s to the mid 60’s.
MORNING: Patchy fog is likely to form with the clearing skies; lows will be cooler in the upper 50s to around 60. Plenty of sunshine to kick off the day once the patchy fog dissipates.
TOMORROW: Plenty of sunshine and cooler. Certainly not feeling like a typical August day. Humidity will be low so it will feel much more comfortable. Highs will range from the upper 70’s to the low 80’s.
OUTLOOK: We are on the back side of a trough along with more sunshine as high pressure strengthens at the surface for Friday. It will still be cooler with highs in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s. Saturday the ridge builds over head and the surface high remains in control. Highs stay in the lower 80’s and below average. The high is expected to jog eastward and with an area of low pressure diving to our south, the combination will set up an easterly flow. Models however have been going back and forth on the exact track of the low pressure system. If it moves further to the north we are looking at keeping the umbrella handy over the weekend as showers threaten but right now it we are placing bets the high pressure system will keep it to our south leading to a dry weekend. We’ll have to watch this very closely as it could change. Right now, clouds will increase late Saturday and remain through Monday. Next front comes in later Tuesday so a few showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon and evening. It will slide south and may be close enough to linger showers into early Wednesday morning. High temperatures look to rebound to the mid 80’s in the middle of next week until then we remain below average for August standards.
