Carlisle police investigate gun theft

Police are seeking information on a gun theft from an apartment in the 100 block of North College Street.

Officials say Layton Brooks reported that he had been out-of-town for the last month. When he arrived back home he found his gun was missing.

Brooks believes the gun was taken sometime between July 20th and August 6, 2014.

Police say the gun is a Haskell .45 caliber ACP, serial number X4240724. The gun is a black,  semi-automatic with a 4.5 inch barrel, it  was kept in a black Velcro holster and there were about 7 rounds in the magazine, police said.

Police are still investigating, anyone with any information is asked to contact the Carlisle Police Department at 717-243-5252.
