Scooters took over Fred’s Campground in Camp Hill, Cumberland County on Saturday.

It’s part of the Three Mile Island Scooter Club’s 11th “Meltdown” Scooter Rally, where clubs come together to showcase scooters ranging from vintage to modern.

Club members say the event helps to promote “scootering” as a way of life.

“It’s not always about how fast you get there, but it’s about the style and class in which you arrive, and that’s what scooters represent– a good and modern way of transportation, ” TMISC member Svend Sheppard said.

The Three Mile Island Scooter Club meets to ride every Wednesday and takes part in other regional scooter rallies.
