A short lived career for a bank robbery suspect in southern York County. The robbery happened at about 10:43 am Tuesday at the M&T Bank branch on East Forrest Avenue in Shrewsbury Borough.

Witnesses told police that a male suspect fled in a tan Jeep. Pennsylvania State Police stopped a vehicle matching that description that was headed north on Interstate 83 between Loganville and Leaders Heights.

The driver was identified as Saad Adda, 45, of York City.  The money taken during the robbery was recovered from the Jeep. During an interview at the police station, Adda confessed to the robbery as well as two other bank robberies in Newberry Township.

Following arraignment on charges of Robbery, Theft and Receiving Stolen Property, Adda was sent to York County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
