13 year old juvenile arrested in crime spree

A 13 year old juvenile faces multiple charges in a burglary and theft spree northern Lancaster County. Police say the crime spree by the Ephrata Borough youth began during the early morning hours this morning.

The boy allegedly entered an unlocked garage in the first block of Bethany Road in the borough. He removed a four wheel ATV and rode it a few hundred feet to a local business. He forced opened a door, entered the business and stole some cash.

He then took a tow motor for a joy ride around the neighborhood before getting it stuck in a field. The boy returned to the business and stole a vehicle. He drove the vehicle to a local convenience store and bought some food.

Charges against the boy include multiple counts of Burglary and Theft by Unlawful Taking.
